Never in a million years did I think I’d be writing this post. It’s been 5 days since I found out and I still don’t think it’s sunk in that next year I’m moving to Florida to work at Walt Disney World. Many of you that know me will know that I’m a Cast Member at the Disney Store and do freelance work for Disney Character Events, so I’m surrounded by Disney every day. But, as long as I can remember my dream has been to work at Walt Disney World and now it’s coming true.
To just give a little rundown of what is actually going on I thought I’d just clear things up with this post. I will be taking part in Disney’s Cultural Representative Program and I will be working in Epcot’s World Showcase for a year (obviously in the United Kingdom pavilion) from June 4th 2018.
Although this is all very exciting I now have a lot of things I have to be doing such as applying for a new passport, booking a one way flight, medical insurance – the list is never ending. I am going to attempt to share some of my journey so far and my journey going forward with you all here on my blog. But, I did a poll on Instagram asking whether you would all prefer me to blog or vlog when I actually do my program and it was 91% vlog and only 9% blog. Personally I take a lot of pride in my blog and have worked hard to get it to where it is so don’t want it to just fade away. But I also enjoy not only watching others’ Disney vlogs but making videos – plus it’s a great way for me to look back on my Disney journey. So, my plan is to do a mixture of both and see how I go.
I’m honestly so excited for this next adventure, I can’t believe after a year and a half of applying, four applications and two interviews that I’m finally on my way to work at Walt Disney World in Florida.
