It feels surreal to even write the year 2020. HOW is it 2020 already? It feels beyond ridiculous to even think about. But yup it sure is. 2019 was full of ups and downs for me and concluded the most fantastic adventure I could ever dream of: my Disney CRP.
I did a lot of travelling in 2019, especially in the U.S. I was lucky enough to hop on a plane (or in some cases a train) to Washington DC, Philadelphia, Disneyland (California), Mexico and Paris. Not to mention all of the amazing days I spent of course roaming Orlando and most importantly Walt Disney World.
I got a promotion at work I’d wanted for a long time. I was able to spend Christmas at home with my family (something I missed last year). I watched A LOT of Netflix (I wish I was exaggerating). I started to drink more water (probably my proudest achievement for 2019). I celebrated 5 years working for a fantastic company. I completed my Disney Cultural Representative Program and returned back home. I celebrated mine and my boyfriends one year anniversary (SEEING HAMILTON!!!) I participated in Dapper Day in Magic Kingdom, something my Instagram heart had wanted to do FOREVER. I stayed club level at the Contemporary with a view of Magic Kingdom from our BALCONY. I turned 21!!! I met Paige’O’Hara (the voice of Belle).
2019 was such a phenomenal year I fear being able to top it in 2020. How does one go from the peak of their life to literally spending the year in their mundane home town? But that’s the beauty of it, you can find adventure wherever you are, especially in the places you know the best: home.
For 2020 I have many goals, some at work, some personal, but they are all important nonetheless. I hope to start exercising more (super cliche I know) to help my bad back pain. Before my program I did ballet to help but the class I went to before doesn’t run anymore so I really need to start exercising again to help it. I want to drink EVEN MORE water because you can never look after yourself too much. I want to get back into reading. And most importantly I want to get back into social media and remember why I loved it in the first place. I’ve been super lucky with the support I’ve had in the past, especially in 2019 so I only want to continue this in 2020.
Here’s to the next decade.
